The Chai Room has landed on the shelves at David Jones in Australia.
After years of pouring my heart, soul, and spices into every blend, I’ve reached an incredible milestone—my handcrafted chai is now available nationwide through one of Australia’s most iconic retailers.
This moment feels surreal.
If you've been following my journey, you know it’s been a wild ride from the very beginning. I started small, setting up market stalls in the wee hours of the morning, brewing tea, and sharing my love of chai with anyone willing to try it.
From those humble beginnings to now being stocked at David Jones stores across the country feels like a dream come true.
A journey of love, sweat, and tears
Building this business hasn’t just been about making tea; it’s been a journey of passion, persistence, and personal growth. Behind every blend are late nights, countless tastings, and endless refining to get the perfect balance of bold and authentic flavours.I wanted to create something that went beyond tea—a sensory experience steeped in tradition but crafted for today.
My chai isn’t just another cup of tea. I use fresh-ground spices, premium Assam tea, and hand-selected ingredients to make sure every sip is as rich and flavourful as possible. I have won awards for all of my chai blends from my signature Original masala chai to the Sticky Chai and caffeine-free blends, each creation reflects the love and care I’ve poured into it.
It hasn’t always been easy. There were moments when I wasn’t sure if this dream would come to life—when scaling to a national retailer like David Jones seemed too far out of reach. But every step of the way, whether through a kind message, an order, or a conversation at the market, your support has made all the difference.
From market stalls to David Jones shelves
It feels like just yesterday I was at local markets and hoping for good weather!
Those early market days taught me a lot, and they made me realise what makes The Chai Room different – it’s also about creating connection and joy, one sip at a time.
Customers would tell me my blends tasted like home and comfort. They’d say the spices reminded them of treasured moments with family. Now, seeing The Chai Room teas on the shelves at David Jones—a store I’ve always admired—feels like the perfect next step in my journey.
