So, Giulia, tell us more about The Essential Ingredient, what does it specialise in and how did it first begin?

"What we do here at The Essential Ingredient is really very simple. We sell ingredients that are essential to your cooking needs and success... from saucepans to Shima wasabi, paella pans to preserved lemon, and rolling pins to rose harissa. We have been a part of The Essential Ingredient since 2005."

Tell us more about your passion for food and the connection between what we put into our bodies and our overall health?

"I'm a big believer in the notion that food is everything. In my opinion, nothing should be deprived, just enjoyed in moderation. This is the key to great health.
I learnt to express love through cooking for my family and those close to me. I come from a culture where we would gather in the kitchen on Sundays and enjoy a traditional Italian meal and catch up ...."

What do your customers appreciate about the products you have chosen for your store?

"The products we have at The Essential Ingredient offer a starting point to a delicious meal.
I am constantly on the look out for new and exciting products - especially Australian, local products."

"It’s good for you and even better for the environment."

How do you take a moment to yourself to relax and unwind from the hustle and bustle of life?

"Sit back with my kitten and a book, sipping on turmeric and raw honey chai."
